Snow Princess & Woody
Monster Mash
Today Gabby and I attended the “Monster Mash” at The Brooklyn Children’s Museum. We had a really great time! We met up with my friend Morgan and her two boys, Ruben & Beto. Gabriella was dressed up as Woody/Jesse. Woody/Jesse??? Yeah, thats right, both! Her main costume was Woody but the accessories were all Jesse! Everyone seemed to really enjoy her costume. Gabby has been wearing it around the house since we got it! Beto was a little dragon and Ruben was dressed up as Spider Man! All the kids looked so awesome in their costumes. Kudo’s to the parents who dressed up as well!
When we first got to the BCM Gabby and I hung out in the “Totally Tot’s” area while we waited for our friends. We then headed upstairs and enjoyed the “Secret of Circles“ exhibit they currently have. While at the exhibit Gabby and I made some face masks. The staff was really friendly and patient with all the kids. We headed back to the Tot area once our friends arrived. Later on Gabby and I enjoyed watching Micheal Jackson’s “Thriller” come to life by a group of middle school kids.
The real fun began once the dance party began. 98.7 KISS FM sponsered the dance party. DJ Qua was spinning the latest and greatest hits for the kids. The music was really good. I enjoyed myself dancing and singing along! It was great to see kids and parents alike bust a move!
The party ended at 8:30 pm. The kiddos received some awesome goodie bags upon leaving. Gabby partied hard and fell asleep early! She actually fell asleep on the train! Smh..Carrying a toddler is not fun! We enjoyed the Monster Mash and hope everyone who attended enjoyed it as well!
Cafemom
I was a stay at home mom for about 2 years after I had Gabby. I loved being a stay at home mommy for the most part. However, to cure my boredom at times ,I decided to join Cafemom. Not that I was bored, don’t get me wrong. It was more of a way to network with other moms. I didn’t have many friends who were mothers. And those who had kids, had kids who were way older. I got very lucky and formed friendships with a few mommies.
I think cafemom is a great site for all moms to join. Its great for moms to be as well. You can track your pregnancy with your friends. There are also many groups to join and tons of advice on the site. It’s been a great resource. I’m very glad I joined the site. If you haven’t joined by now, then I highly suggest you do!
Their blog The Stir is also very entertaining to read. Check it out!
Massage for Mama!
Not gonna lie. I’ve been pretty stressed lately. My friend Morgan won a gift certificate to GRACEFUL SPA a while back and invited me to go along with her to get a massage today. It was nice of her to share her gift with me. The massage was soooooo relaxing. I needed it so badly. We both felt amazing afterwards. It had also been a long time since we hung out sans the kids! So it was nice to catch up without our toddlers running around! Sometimes mommies need alone time, dont ya think?
I’ll definitely go back to GRACEFUL SPA again! The staff was nice and friendly and the place was clean. And although today was a treat for me from Morgan, the prices aren’t so bad, so I’d treat myself some day! =)
Kids Fest. at Madison Square Park
Today Gabby and I woke up early and headed to the Kids Fest at Madison Square Park. The park was already packed by the time we got there! The pumpkin patch was the easiest thing to get into. Decorating it however, didn’t happen. It was a mad house there! We waited forever to get Gabby’s face painted it was worth it in the end though. We enjoyed some delicious CLIF KID ORGANIC Z BAR’s while we waited. Since it was so packed Gabby and I headed to the playground and chilled there for a while. It was cool to see all the kiddo’s dressed up in their costumes. Gabby was a cat for today. We still have to shop for her costume. Who know’s what she’ll decide to dress up as?! All in all we had fun even though it was packed. The more the merrier!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! =)
Queens County Farm
Gabby and her schoolmates went on a trip to the Queens County Farm this past Columbus Day. Gabby had an awesome time visiting the pumpkin patch, seeing and petting a few animals, and going on a hay ride! I wasn’t able to go on the trip but she came home with 2 pumpkins. One for her and one for me!

October’s M.I.L.F
This month’s M.I.L.F ((Mom in love forever)) of The Month is my very good friend/co-worker, Miss Stephanie!
Name: Stephanie
Age: 22
Location: Bronx, NY
Occupation: Makeup Artist, Retail
Status: Single
Nationality: PuertoRican & Ecuadorian descent
Kids: 1, Jadalise Skylar
Do you want more kids? Undecided
Do you consider yourself a M.I.L.F (mom in love forever)? Definitely, motherhood has allowed me to appreciate so much my own mother has done for me and my sister. I learned the value of hard work and the struggles many single mothers go through to make sure their child is well taken care of. I miss her every moment, when I’m working, when she spends the night at grandma’s! I could not imagine living life differently. Jadalise is truly the love of my life, my little ladybug !
Favorite part of mommyhood? Being responsible for teaching her love! & waking up to her and when I notice her, she just smiles.
Least favorite? Not being able to spend every moment with her , & relying on childcare to raise her. I don’t want to miss anything she learns or discovers.
3 random things about yourself: I enjoy museums, have multiple tattoos, career goal is to become NYPD officer.
Any advice? Patience & Love is all a mother needs to be at her best for their child. Because they are always the main prize & keep us mothers going.
